A delightful and unusual late 19th century English bamboo stand, featuring a handwoven raffia top and classic bamboo construction. Raised on slender bamboo legs joined by a stretcher, the stand possesses the light, casual elegance that made bamboo furniture so desirable during the Victorian era.

The warm patina developed over decades of use enhances its character and authenticity. The raffia top adds texture and visual interest, while the compact scale makes it ideal as a plant stand, occasional table, bedside stand, or decorative accent within a layered interior.

The stand exhibits expected wear consistent with its age and long history of use. There are age-related surface marks and some splitting to portions of the bamboo legs, a common occurrence in antique bamboo furniture.
